Time to look for rare LPAM UK stations as some dominants are silent

For listeners in the UK & Europe looking for the low power LPAM stations in the UK, it is worth noting that many student stations are silent for the Summer vacation. This may open up other co-channel opportunities. For example URY 1350kHz in York is off air. Coincidentally Kingstown Radio 1350 Hull is silent again (blank carrier only atthe moment) so this may allow you to catch other stations around the UK on this channel. RIAS/Deutschlandradio 990 closing down

After 65 years of broadcasting the RIAS/Deutschlandradio, Berlin-Britz will close the operation on mediumwave 990 kHz on September 4th, 2013 . (Bengt Ericson, ARC, Växjö)
