Radio Seagull testing with 15 kW from the radioship Jenni Baynton

The radioship Jenny Baynton will test the new 15 kW Continental Electronics transmitter on board from October 1st, 2011. Frequency 1395 kHz. The ID used will be Radio Seagull. The test will be from different locations offshore. More information on Radio Seagull's webpage. (Bengt Ericson, ARC)

ARC Newsflash: Ukraine / Lesotho / Italy

” Radio Stantsia Maiak, Odessa na volnye 765 kHz”. This is the local ID as this station is independent of Radio Mayak in Russia. The transmitter Petrivka 70 kW has been reactivated.  “LM Radio, Lifetime Music Radio” with headquarter in Lourenço Marques, Mozambique has signed an agreement with Lesotho to broadcast its programmes via the 100 kW transmitter at Lancer’s Gap in Lesotho between 0500 and 1500 UTC 7 days a week. The spoken language is English and the music style is “happy”  Streaming is available via official start of the agreement is October 1st, but testing is already going on. Info via Ydun and webpage. Radio Studio X at Momigno in northern Italy is now testing a more powerful new transmitter. Power is said to be 12 kW, but this is not confirmed. This program is not in // with the audio streaming of the web. The tests are managed by Roberto Scaglione and reports of reception must be sent to: Note!
