France Info 1557 to remain on the air

According to information from Christian Ghibaudo  (organiser of the excellent EDXC 2014 in Nice)  the France Info in Nice will NOT stop the transmissions on MW 1557 kHz in August 2015. The Manager of Monte-Carlo Radiodiffusion answers Christian that there are no plans to stop the transmissions. As you may know the transmitter is located in Monaco at Col de la Madone, the same location as MCR. The participants of the EDXC 2014 passed that location on the way to Nice and  got a view of the excellent location on the top of the mountain. Christian adds that the MW coverage is the only way as there are no FM transmitters in the mountains near Nice. Many thanks to Christian for the information.      (Bengt Ericson ARC)
