DX-News: JIL FM, Algeria and NRK Longyearbyen, Svalbard

JIL FM is the new youth program broadcast via 531 kHz F’kirina and 549 kHz at Sidi Hamadouche. Very modern channel w/ Arabic, French and Italian IDs and jingles.
531 kHz is the best channel heard late evenings in Växjö, Sweden. The mix of music is very enjoyable.

1485 kHz NRK Longyearbyen, Svalbard was heard during 5 minutes at local sunset at 15.25 UTC. At 15.30 they just announced that “Dagsnytt” (Newscast) will start then NRK drowned in QRM, mostly from the 2 AFN stations. Loopangle 0˚ to avoid QRM from Radio Merkurs. (Bengt Ericson, ARC, Växjö )
