RTE closing down LW 252 kHz
The longwave station of Radio Telefis Eireann on 252 kHz will be closed down on October 27, 2014. More information on the RTE Website (Brock Whaley in the Medium Wave Circle Facebook group.) This transmitter was previously operated by commercial station Atlantic 252.
KTFI 1340 moving to 1270 over new transmitter
From Brian R. Howell Operations Manager Salt & Light Catholic Radio - KTFI - 1340 from Wendell ID:
"Please make a note that next month you can pick up KTFI on the AM dial at 1270 - may be a stronger signal and better quality. I would be curious if you can hear it once we make that switch in October.
We have purchased KXQZ in Twin Falls and will most likely (pending government approval) change the call letters to KTFI-AM 1270. As to what we will eventually do with the transmitter in Wendell (about 20 miles west of Twin Falls) remains to be seen - we trust the Lord will guide our actions to do His perfect will." (Tore B.
